Diagnostic Wax Ups

Success in diagnostic wax ups depends on understanding the morphology of dentition. This series is led by Dr. Robert Winter (founder of the Winter Laboratory). Dr. Winter guides the clinician through the purpose and process of fabricating a diagnostic wax up. He discusses proper lab communication techniques and the importance of prescription forms. Lab prescription forms convey the esthetic goals of the patient and clinician. Dr. Winter also discusses treatment aids that can be fabricated using a dental wax up.
